Your download link did not work for me. (I am on a Mac if that could be a problem on your site.) However, your quiz assumes that there are children involved and that is not the case. I am 60 years of age and, after four years of marriage, I discovered that I had married a recidivist criminal and sophisticated con man when the FBI, IRS, and DOJ raided our home and arrested him last June. In early December, he was sentenced to almost 20 years in a federal prison for white-collar crime. I simply want to divorce this man and try to regain my prior "sane" life as quickly as possible. He has destroyed my financial life, so I need to do this divorce on my own and I can do that as long as I know what must be done to meet Florida's divorce laws.

That's why I always encourage those who want to represent themselves in a divorce case have a reliable place to get correct information - not from some site that covers all the states. Divorce law differs in each state. Make sure you are getting your information from reliable sources when you represent yourself.

I find it very incredible how often the Florida divorce law tends to change. It is making tougher to keep up with all the changes. I notice these changes are bit outdated as they had recent changes and I am sure more changes are coming as well.

This is why sometimes getting a divorce can be difficult if you have not kept up with the updates. Keeping up with the updates is what makes the difference between a good lawyer and a great one.

TJ, alimony is based on need and ability to pay, along with the length of marriage. You ask a specific question which calls for legal advice. I cannot give legal advice on the blog. It would be irresponsible based on this little nit of information. You should speak to an attorney about your situation.
